Ketevan Bebiashvili has served as the Head of the Gori Office of the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association since 2000. In 1997-99, she was the head of the United Labor Union’s group working with youth at Gori State Economic-Humanitarian Institute. In 1999, she worked in the position of the head of a task force on educational issues at the Gori Office of the GYLA. In 2000, she was a member of the Board of the Gori Office of the GYLA. In 1999-2001, she served as an assistant at the Shida Kartli service for working with local bodies of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. After 2001, she held the positions of coordinator, administrative and civil law lawyer, and consultant at the Gori Office of the GYLA. She has taught “Practical law” since 2001. In 2001-2002, she was a trainer in the area of children’s rights for NGO Biliki as part of the project “Carriage of children’s rights”. In 2002-2006, she taught human rights and international law at the Gori Branch of the Georgian Technical University. In 2003, she was a member of the social po1icy task force of Gori and coordinator of the process of advocacy for resolution of social problems. In 2004, she worked as a teacher at the prep school of Gori State University. From 2004, she also taught law and human rights at the School-Lyceum. On March 10-23, 2004, she took a training course entitled “Civil diplomacy; Broadening and strengthening relations among NGOs; Human rights” in Poland. In 2005-2006, she was a curator of the United National Exams at the Gori Examination Center. Since 2001, Ketevan has been actively holding various trainings on human rights. In February-March 2006, she served as an expert/trainer on self-governance issues for the Urban Institute. In 2006, she was a member of the Gori Partnership Council established by the CHF. From November 2008 to May 2009, she served as a human rights consultant at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Georgia. In 2008, she worked as a trainer on judicial skills at the American Bar Association. In 2010-11, she served as the Deputy Head of the Board of the GYLA. And from October 22 to November 13, 2012, she took part in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
