Today, Journalist Eka Kvesitadze filed a lawsuit with Tbilisi City Court against Broadcasting Company “Rustavi 2” LLC. Her interests in the court are represented by the Georgian Young Lawyer's Association.

Eka Kvesitadze has been discharged by Director General of “Rustavi 2” Broadcasting Company. The applicant believes that the order on the termination of her employment contradicts the requirements of the Labour Code of Georgia and the employer’s decision on her dismissal was unlawful.

Eka Kvesitadze requests the court to annul the discharge order, to reinstate her in her former position, compensate for the forced leave and any outstanding salary that “Rustavi 2” has to pay to Eka Kvesitadze.
