Today, on February 28, 2014 GYLA arranged the presentation-exhibition in OSGF office about Sakdrisi-Khachiani.  At the event GYLA submitted official information about Sakdrisi- Khachiani received from the Government of Georgia, the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monuments Protection and the National Agency for Protection of Cultural Heritage. There were also documents that were unknown to the society at large till now.

 

Legal analysis of the documents submitted at the presentation-exhibition revealed that:

 

• Different  administrative agencies fail to fulfill legislative obligations timely and effectively.  

• Notwithstanding the readiness of the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monuments Protection, expressed to the German party, to uphold the idea of creating the international commission, it has not been established so far. 

• The decision of the government about the administrative compliant submitted by the "RMG Gold" company is also unknown. 

• In certain cases, decisions of public agencies on Sakdrisi-Kachiani case are adopted with violation of legislative terms. 

• In addition, the developments around Sakdrisi-Khachiani are not transparent and society has many unanswered questions at present.

 

GYLA will monitor Sakhdirisi-Khachiani developments actively in future and will submit relevant information to public.
